Meet Robert Gonzalez
Born and raised in Santa Maria, California—with deep ties to his Mexican roots—Robert grew up closely connected to his family’s hometown of Jalostotitlán in the highlands of Jalisco. Countless summers spent running across his family’s historic ranches gave Robert an early and lasting bond with the land.
As a young man, Robert was active in the Boy Scouts of America, participating with Troop 77 and ultimately achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
After graduating from high school, Robert pursued his dream and earned the title of United States Marine. In 2003, while serving as a Nuclear Biological and Chemical (NBC) Defense Specialist, he took part in the invasion of Iraq.
Following his service in the Marine Corps, Robert returned home to Santa Maria and worked as a Safety Director with Teixeira Farms. It was there that he first experienced the fast-paced world of large-scale agriculture—and where his passion for the industry truly began.
In 2009, Robert and a few business partners founded Pacifica Personnel, Inc., a company dedicated to providing high-quality, efficient labor solutions to the complex agricultural operations of California’s Central Coast.
In 2018, Robert and his wife, Araceli, were able to purchase their own piece of California farmland. It was on these acres that Robert’s long-held dream of owning a vineyard began to take shape. In 2020, that dream became a reality with the establishment of the Tecolote Vineyard.
Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Oregon State University and is a California-licensed Pest Control Advisor.
Robert is married to his wife, Araceli, and together they reside in Nipomo, California. They are proud parents of two sons, Roberto Ezekiel and Jakob Alexander.
